How Do I Print an 8.5 x 11 inch file?
Many of our printables will come in the form of an 8.5″ x 11″ file. This is the standard size for printing. For instance, Diaper Raffle Tickets, while 3.5″ x 2″, will come lined up 8 per 8.5″ x 11″ page, and you can just trim them out.
How Do I Print a 5 x 7 Inch File?

Many of our signs are 5″ x 7″. You can print these many ways. Of course, you could print them on an 8.5″ x 11″ cardstock, and then trim them out, or, you could even take them to your local photo lab, and have printed as 5″ x 7″ “photos”.

What Kind of Cardstock Should I Use?

The thicker, the better! I always recommend a cardstock of at least 110lb. In many standard stores, you will find 80lb cardstock, and while this will work very nicely, I love thick cardstock and it will always make your printables more durable.

There are so many types, colors and finishes of cardstock to choose from. Get creative! From Pearl to Metallic to Kraft to Linen, the paper will make such a difference on the final product!

Do You Recommend an Ink Jet Printer or a Laser Printer?

Either!

I do love my own laser printer, however, these can be very expensive when purchasing initially, and an ink jet will print your files very nicely as well. Each has their pros and cons. Laser printers will always print darker, so this would be one thing to keep in mind.

What Kind of Envelopes Do I Need?

The three sizes of printables we currently offer that would require an envelope (if mailing) are:

5″ x 3.5″ – A1 envelope needed.

5″ x 7″ – A7 envelope needed.

4.25″ x 5.5″ – A2 envelope needed.
